Why would you care what others think? they're just retarded... on another website I was a member of for rating movies and books you've seen, I used to have pictures of GIR plastered all over my profile to intentionally make me seem like an obsessive Zim fan. It was fucking hilarious because people who didn't care about Zim would be like "Ohh, your taste in entertainment is so intellectual, please be the admin of my club for discussing philosophy/indie comics/blah!", and then there would be these confused hipsters on the sidelines who'd be all like "this person knows about and likes these obscure/artsy/intellectual things but they're a GIR FAN??? I DON'T UNDERSTAND... I WANT TO TALK TO THEM... BUT I DON'T WANT TO GET ZIM COOTIES!!"

I've found showing my love for GIR pretty useful in judging if people online are worthy of being my friends, if they're so close minded they won't talk to me because I like a cartoon character they can fuck off.
